According to the Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, energy costs account for at least 15 per cent of total operational costs for food and beverage manufacturers.
It is important that harvesting equipment is closely monitored through regular energy audits, so that site coordinators can have a better understanding of the costs associated with usage rates. In some cases, upgrading to a more efficient motor or speed drive can result in considerable cost savings for a business long-term.
