21 May Dealing with particle abrasion wear in coal processing
Impact of particle abrasion wear on equipment used in coal processing can be significant. For a coal mine in Queensland, the persistent abrasive forces meant the chutes in the dewatering centrifuge needed to be dismantled and re-coated internally every 12 to 15 weeks.
A solution was proposed by the CBC and Henkel Australia team to try the LOCTITE Hi-Impact Wearing Compound to extend the re-coating intervals.
